Dear Parents/Guardians and Participants:

Al Éxito programs, following Des Moines Public Schools guidelines, will begin virtual programming until January 1, 2021. At that point,  Al Éxito will reevaluate virtual programming in regard to student safety and DMPS learning direction. 

 

 
 Students who live outside of our program areas may also join our programs virtually, register using the google form found below. If you have any questions about what program to join contact Gabby 515.494.6564

Al Éxito Middle School 

To ensure all Al Éxito scholars are successful in school this year ALL participants will receive free mentoring and tutoring until the end of the year. Each participant will have an assigned mentor to help navigate online learning. In our weekly online programs, students will also receive:

  • college education and visits,

  • cultural education, and

  • leadership training

(All Programs meet from 4 - 5 pm) 

Mondays: Harding Middle School, McCombs Middle School 

Tuesdays: Goodrell Middle School 

Wednesdays: Weeks Middle School

Thursdays: Hiatt Middle School, Callanan Middle School

Al Éxito provides Latinx students with transformative cultural programs and extensive support services that build knowledge, access, and opportunities! Each participant will have access to:

  • An assigned mentor to help navigate online learning.

  • Monthly college intensive for Seniors only walking you through the college acceptance and scholarship process. 24/7 assistance until your student has started college. 

  • Monthly junior college and ACT prep

  • Al Éxito University intensive residential college preparatory summer camp included free

|drēm|sēd| builds Latino youth leaders through a  youth-led business that partners with Latino owned companies to build a customer base, demonstrate a culture of giving, and to provide essential skills and opportunities for a greater diverse future.  

Every Saturday 9:00-10:00 pm starting September 26, 2020

RICA

provides a safe and welcoming space to support and serve students interested in issues around identity and inclusion. RICA will meet twice a month virtually.
